Vaccinations and Preventive Care

Any animal can fall ill at any stage of life, but many illnesses can be prevented with the right precautions. We take this very seriously at our hospital, and base our preventive care on vaccination programmes, nutrition, dental health and skin health.
Vaccinations
We follow how diseases are spread across Turkey, build vaccination programmes accordingly and adapt them to each animal’s needs. What matters to us is not more vaccines but protective vaccines. Monitoring vaccine titres is far more important than simply vaccinating. It is scientifically accepted that unnecessary vaccines tire the immune system and can lead to immune-related diseases.
After the first visit, a vaccination programme is drawn up for your pet and explained to you by your vet. We also send an SMS reminder when a vaccine or parasite treatment is due.
Parasite prevention
Both internal and external parasites carry many diseases. We follow local disease patterns and parasite levels and apply effective parasite control. We use current medicines and procedures, and we watch for drug residues and parasite resistance, changing our protocols from time to time to prevent resistance.
Dental care
Healthy eating starts with a healthy mouth. Food that is not chewed properly and swallowed whole causes various stomach, intestinal and digestive problems. Dental care should not be done just so that teeth look nice and breath smells fresh. Every tooth has a job and is valuable, so keeping teeth healthy for as long as possible matters.
Grooming
Regular coat and body care matters for both our own health and our pet’s. In some breeds, brushing and trimming the coat helps prevent infections around the mouth, eyes and ears. For skin conditions we also use medicated baths and rubs to restore skin health.
Pet travel documents
Moving abroad or travelling with your pet? We prepare the paperwork for leaving Turkey, including microchipping and the rabies titre test.
