Urlavet Animal Hospital is in the Urla district of Izmir. Our address is Altıntaş Mah. Ahmet Besim Uyal Cd. No:54/C, 35430 Urla/İzmir. We started as a clinic in 1992, founded by veterinarians Erhan Gökdağ and Meral Gökdağ, and have been an animal hospital since 16 May 2022. You can read our full story on our About Us page.

When looking for an animal hospital in Izmir, people often want to avoid going to different places for different procedures. At Urlavet we offer these units:

• Surgery: spaying and neutering, orthopaedic, soft tissue and eye surgery with safe gas anaesthesia; operations supported by intensive care.
• Internal Medicine: check-up programmes, allergy tests, dermatology, and the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic disease.
• Physiotherapy: pain management and post-operative rehabilitation with laser therapy, TENS, EMS and manual therapy.
• Diagnostic Imaging: X-ray and ultrasound are done at the hospital; we work with partner centres for MRI.
• Vaccinations and Preventive Care: vaccination programmes, parasite prevention, dental care and grooming.
• Laboratory: blood counts, biochemistry and serology tests; special tests are done at a reference laboratory.

Which parts of Izmir do patients come from?

Our hospital is in Urla, west of central Izmir. By car it takes about 40 minutes from Alsancak on the motorway (around 42 km), about 48 minutes from Bornova, and about an hour from Karşıyaka depending on traffic. The fastest route is usually the İzmir–Çeşme motorway; the route from Alsancak and Karşıyaka includes a toll. These times are based on a Google Maps measurement of the driving route; they change with the time of day and traffic, so we recommend checking your route before you set off.
