Dr. Meral Gökdağ

After Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School, which I am proud to be part of, I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Right after graduating, my husband Erhan Gökdağ and I settled in Urla. I worked first at the Urla Development Foundation’s veterinary clinic and then at our own clinic, as a farm animal vet, as conditions required at the time. I have always been proud to have been the first and only woman working as a farm animal vet in the field. Later, as the local population changed and the number of pets in Urla grew, we turned to small animal practice. Between 2000 and 2006 I completed my PhD in the Department of Reproduction and Artificial Insemination at Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. I have regularly attended training in Turkey and abroad for my professional development. Outside veterinary medicine, because I believe in personal development, I have trained in Ericksonian coaching, complementary medicine, financial literacy, human resources and business management. I worked as an insurance agent from 2002 to 2018. I am training in energy medicine and field energy balancing, and I am continuing my studies in Healthcare Management at Istanbul University’s Open and Distance Education Faculty.
